GUI
IDCT's Graphical User Interface is one of its
machines' greatest features. Run on
the Windows™
platform, the user
interface
is user-friendly, robust,
and easy to learn and troubleshoot. Compatibility with other systems and
networking capabilities add to its ease of use.
The
user interface was designed for use with a touchscreen monitor. All
controls and displays are oversized to facilitate operator interface.
Navigation can still be done by trackball and keyboard. Bright colors and
easy-to-read fonts keep data readable at all times.

explicit displays present controls in an intuitive and
friendly manner.

The
GUI's Main Screen displays basic pertinent information: machine
status, program status, tool number, feed/speed, drill depth,
X-Y position, and safety control status. Machine controls and
drill-program-specific commands are presented here as well. The
window in the upper-right corner alternates between real-time
displays that monitor machine performance. Skipping through a
part program is made simple and quick by allowing the operator
to choose exactly how to skip through the program: by hole
number, tool number, X-Y location, or by selecting the hole
graphically on the screen.

Help!
 Created
in HTML (the language of the internet), On-line Help is designed to
assist the operator in machine operation and control. It offers a
tutorial, as well as a reference section, and a glossary of common terms
and machine parts. The HTML base allows On-line Help to be accessed even
while the machine is in use, with no interruptions during the drilling
process. With such quick and easy access to basic assistance, On-line
Help is a unique feature all its own.
