Field proven high speed spindles achieve higher speeds than any other
spindle on the market today, while simultaneously reducing drill
consumption by factors of up to 75%. Savings on drill bit costs alone can
pay for this machine inside of two years. The unique spindle design also
reduces runout significantly. The combination of high speeds and low
runout allows this system to routinely drill .006" and .004"
diameter holes, and successful tests have been conducted with .002"
diameters. Spindle replacement is easy, taking less than ten minutes.
VISION PROCESS COMPENSATION
The world’s first multi-spindle driller to enable vision-based
process compensation on every station. Each spindle adapts the drilling
process to specific material and environmental factors in real time.
ASYNCHRONOUS DRILLING TECHNOLOGY
Each spindle is under completely independent X, Y and Z-axis control
at all times, allowing each spindle to drill different patterns, perform
independent tool changes, share the drilling with other spindles on large
panels, and make independent process compensations based upon vision
input.
MAINTENANCE-FREE X-Y POSITIONING
There are no mechanical linkages, ball screws, mechanical ways, motor
couplings, or any other device to wear out or create backlash or
inaccuracies in the positioning system, ever. While most machines are
being scrapped after five years, this one will still be performing as well
as the day it left the factory.
