Industrial Dynamics introduces the LP (Linear Planer) Series Microdrilling System, bringing a new level of productivity and space efficiency to the mechanical drilling process. The eight-head drilling system utilizes the field proven 275,000 RPM IDCT spindle combined with a precision linear planer servomotor system. This makes it possible to move the spindles in X and Y axes while the work piece remains stationary, greatly reducing the machine footprint compared to traditional drillers. The LP Series provides the lowest static and dynamic floor loading available in an eight-head driller. Use of the linear planer servomotor means zero wear on the X-Y positioning mechanism for the life of the product. Asynchronous Drilling Technology (ADT) allows the spindles to position, drill and change bits completely independent of each other. Extreme panel size flexibility is achieved using eight heads to drill eight 18" x 24" panels, or four pairs of heads to drill different halves of four 24" x 37" panels, or all eight heads to drill different portions of a single panel up to 37" x 99". The LP Series occupies one third less floor space than competitive drillers, while reducing average job run times by 25-40%. Spindle changeout can be accomplished in minutes if required.
